The
Young Scientists Club Wins National Awards and Launches
Their Award-Winning Science Sets Nationally!
Its
mission to get as many young children involved in the
sciences, especially girls, is becoming a reality!
Since the launch of
these unique science sets, stores around the country have
been stocking their shelves with them in time for the
holidays
The
Young Scientists Club, creators of a unique series of
science kit sets for children ages 4 to 12, today announced
that it has received the 2004 Learning Magazine National
Teachers Choice Award and the 2003 National Parenting
Publications Award. The company’s carefully designed
science kits were chosen from thousands of other children’s
products for their unique ability to stimulate and challenge
young children as they discover the world of science with
their friends and family. In addition, last month the
company launched a line of retail science kit sets at a
national level into specialty toy stores and museums stores
and has received overwhelming responses to their products.
“These
awards are a tremendous validation of the work that has gone
into developing our kits,” said Esther Novis, president and
founder of The Young Scientists Club. “We have built a
series of science kits that offer children a unique and fun
learning experience and that help parents get their children
excited about discovering the world of science.”
The
Young Scientists Club began four years ago as a subscription
science program and now sends thousands of science kits
filled with fun experiments monthly to children all over the
world. These same science kits have been packaged into
custom-designed sets for retail stores. This carefully
crafted, educational science series covers topics ranging
from constructing volcanoes and designing a compass to
making a stethoscope and electromagnets. Each kit ensures
that children learn by using different parts of their brains
simultaneously during an experiment through reading,
writing, and doing simple math calculations. Children are
invited upon completion of the kits to visit a virtual
on-line Clubhouse for further exploration of each kit topic.
