THE YOUNG SCIENTISTS CLUB

Receives iParenting Media Award for Science on a Nature Walk

The Young Scientists Club announced today that they have received the 2004 iParenting Media Award for their Nature Science kit called Science on a Nature Walk.   “We were very impressed by the quality and diversity of the products submitted in our Great Holiday 2004 Call for Entry,” says Alvin All, Chief Executive Officer of iParenting Media. “Our unique process allowed each product to be objectively reviewed for its merits compared to our standards of excellence. These award-winning products stood out from the crowd and will make great gifts this holiday season – and beyond.”

With this unique science kit, children explore science through real field experiments on a nature walk.  Experiments and activities include finding animal tracks and fossilizing them, finding nature treasures on a scavenger hunt, making a compass, performing leaf chromatography, making a bug house, and much more.  This kit includes all the necessary tools such as binoculars, butterfly net, magnifying glass, whistle, chromatography paper, data entry book, plaster, tracking guide, and waist-belt pouch to carry items.

Celsius the Science Bug™ takes the children through all the hands-on experiments and encourages all Young Scientists to write down their observations, measurements, and conclusions in the exceptional over-sized instruction booklet that accompanies the kit.  At the end of the kit, Celsius invites the children to visit his on-line Clubhouse for further exploration and to e-mail their results, comments, and questions.  Celsius the Science Bug™ loves e-mailing all Young Scientists back!

The mission of The Young Scientists Club is simple - to offer children quality, science-related products that will fascinate them with wonders of scientific discovery and spark their interest in future scientific endeavors.  All Young Scientists Club products are designed by a team of Harvard graduates, scientists, educators, and parents with one purpose in mind – to combine fun and fascination with quality learning in each and every product.  All products can be purchased in specialty retail stores, museum stores, hobby stores, and on-line retailers.
