(Jamestown, RI) – The Young Scientists Club announced today
that they have received two awards from Dr. Toy for their
newly released Adventure Science Series which include: Wacky
Weather, Chemistry Blast, Magic Magnets, and Awesome
Bubbles. Dr. Stevanne Auerbach, a.k.a. Dr. Toy, is a noted
child development specialist and chooses Dr. Toy’s 100 Best
Products from among hundreds of U.S. and international
companies. Criteria used for the selection are safety,
age-appropriateness, design, durability, lasting play value,
cultural and ethnic diversity, good transition from home to
school, educational value, learning skills, creativity,
improvement in the understanding of the community and the
world, good value for price, and, naturally, fun. Dr.
Auerbach feels that “The smart play products selected from
100 companies across the U.S., Canada, and other countries
provide children with exciting new learning tools that help
them to do better in school, and also provide more
constructive activities to do after school.”
The Young
Scientists Club is honored to be awarded with these
prestigious awards as these awards validate the mission of
The Young Scientists Club - to offer children quality,
science-related products that will fascinate them with
wonders of scientific discovery and spark their interest in
future scientific endeavors. Adventure Science Series
is a series of fun and exciting science kits for young
children that stimulate their innate desire to learn and
discover. These hands-on science kits for children 5 and
older are packed with supplies for fun and educational
science experiments that will keep children occupied for
hours. Topics in this series include Awesome Bubbles,
Magic Magnets, Chemistry Blast, and Wacky
Weather.
With Awesome Bubbles, Young
Scientists make the ultimate bubble solution and use this
solution to make many amazing bubbles - giant bubbles,
bubble chains, three-dimensional shaped bubbles, bubbles
coming out of a bubble harmonica, and much more. This
creation and study of bubbles will excite Young Scientists
as these awesome bubbles form and float away.
With Magic
Magnets, Young Scientists make pins magically jump,
create magnetic faces, construct an underwater magnet, and
fish for metal objects. Magnetic puppets will delight all
during the puppet show and magic finger soccer finishes the
kit with a GOAL!
With
Chemistry Blast, Young Scientists create sticky ice,
remove gas from soda, and make a flower change colors. The
kit finishes with Young Scientists using test tubes, filter
paper, and a funnel to separate a mixture of materials and
making an explosion that will excite any budding scientist.
With Wacky
Weather, Young Scientists become true meteorologists
when they build their own wind meter, scientifically measure
rainfall, and use a real thermometer to read daily
temperatures. All measurements are then recorded with
colorful stickers on a fun wall chart. The kit finishes
with fun classic weather sayings that explain real weather
concepts.
All Young
Scientists Club products have received many prestigious
awards and are designed by a team of Harvard graduates,
scientists, educators, and parents with one purpose in mind
– to combine fun and fascination with quality and learning
in each and every product. All products can be purchased in
specialty retail stores, museum stores, hobby stores, and
on-line retailers.
